I'm back.....almost

I've missed last two months competitions and have barely posted anything on here in weeks. Only thing was my first attempt at a portrait a month ago. I have to say it's actually been depressing me how little time i've had free in months. Today though I sent my accountant back up to Glasgow and now, although i have a busy working weekend and week or two ahead, I think I will have time to go take some photographs.

One of the threads from the forum this month set me off again. The one about flashes and whether to get a Canon ir control or not etc. There was a link to Strobist blog on that thread and I've been eating it up. The images on that thing are exactly the sort of stuff I've been wanting to try to learn to do. I've got few bits and bobs coming to add to my 430ex so I can try to do some funky images. I think I'll start with some self portraits to learn how it all works then build up to doing the Lamborghini pics one of my friends wants.

I had a great idea for this months competition but it'll never happen in time now so I'm going to keep it and do a series of images based on it later in the year. I wonder if it's the lack of any stimulus for months but my head is buzzing right now.....feels good to be back, in mind at least...

Why is your accountant from Glasgow? Are we cheaper in Scotland?

He's from Glasgow because I am from Glasgow (living in Surrey) and he is my father......
