NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Photography

Has anyone been on this course at their local college? It's something I'm considering enrolling on, but would just like to hear other peoples opinions on it if it's something they have done.

The college didn't know what the cost would be at the moment, due to it being a new course for them. But they said it should be around £259 which is the price for the level 2 media course

I don't really like the idea of doing a home study course, and so apart from this one, the only other one that appears to be any good is from these guys http://www.photographycourses.org.uk/news.php

My local college does City & Guilds Digital Photography (I am currently doing the Lev 1). I really enjoy it and would thoroughly recomend a college course, rather than home learning.

Info on C&G Lev 2 course (Lev 1 is not on their site at present):

This also sounds like a good course. I'm impressed by the number of subjects it seems to cover. Shame it's in Leamington and not Birmingham!

I did feel a bit concerned reading that "These specialised units have specific objectives where specialist equipment relating to the unit may be required, together with more advanced camera equipment."
Would that mean more costs are incurred for the students, or would this extra equipment be provided?

No I've found they provide just about everything, even Nikon dSLRs for those without.

The other thing I've found is that courses are quite sociable and people are always willing to help out or loan their equipment. As previously mentioned, I'm currently doing the C&G Lev1 and I have a class tonight. Cant wait - I love it!
