Just a Couple of Flowers . . .

After seeing Manic78's shots I thought i'd take some of my girlfriend's flowers.

Only snapped one of the flowers from a bunch of many , but how tricky is macro work!!! I have a little maplins portable soft box and lamp to work with, but then I had to keep the flower steady enough with a hair clip With anything ranging from 2 to 30 second exposures it wasn't the most straight forward setup, and resulted in a few blurred shots.

But anyways here are probably 2 of the best, bugs are far more interesting

1. Sad Flower

2. Soft Light Flower

Back to decaying decor shots for me I think....

Re: Just a Couple of Flowers . . .

Number 1 for me mate. With number two it seems like there isn't enough of the centre of the flower in the frame while with the 1st one, the quarter circle-ish bit of the flower in the frame had a symmetry of sorts I find quite appealing.

Not that the 2nd one is bad. I think it's a good photo, but maybe if more of the flower was in focus it could have been a great photo?

Nice work anyway!
