I've been published too!!
I have had a review of the Sigma 18-200mm lens published in this month's (May 07) What Digital Camera magazine along with a photo taken with it on my KM5D and a prison style mugshot of myself. One of the editorial team asked me to do the review after seeing my pictures from this lens on Flickr. The review is quite heavily edited but it was fun to do.
This is the pic that they published:

Re: I've been published too!!
This is a great shot. I was looking at a second hand one in a shop yesterday. It was only £159 so I assumed it was too compromised to consider, but this looks great!

Re: I've been published too!!
Its a very worthy one too, Sharp well exposed Nice composition , colours what more does one want?:
I know they try to be helpful in some of these those mags ( I quite like reading them) but Ive never yet seen them find an image which didn't have something wrong with it
Reminds me of Simon Cowell sometimes
If the image is poor, fair cop, otherwise for people with limited time and kit and experience , a little encouragement is ( IMO) always welcome

Re: I've been published too!!
Thanks for the replies.
I don't rely on magazines but they are interesting to read every so often. I think that a lot of people have low expectations of this type of lens but used properly they can deliver a decent performance and they are a travel lens par excellence, especially when hiking and you don't want to carry the weight of several lenses.
The image is in the Alps near Arosa in SE Switzerland.

Re: I've been published too!!
Well done, and a nice shot. Do the horses have a copy of Playboy there or something?
It's interesting that the magazine sought you out from Flickr as well.

Re: I've been published too!!
Well done Ikki - I think having an article and photo (image !) published in a national magazine is a big jump up from my humble start.
