Just wanted your proffesional opnions on these two and how to possibly improved. Tried me first long exposures with my £10 tripod from 7day shop...
I quite like them but they just don't feel very creative Maybe I should of setup in the middle of the road...perhaps a bit dangerous at 11 at night though

I like #1 - the blue hues are excellent. The bollard is kinda distracting though.
#2 is not as good - I think that the colours dont do it any favours.
I'd try finding a busier road so you get more light trails. Possibly get up a bit higher as well so you are looking down on the traffic. Maybe go for a diagonal angle of the light trails across the picture e.g. for the 1st one, be standing closer to the road.
Just looked at #2 again. The background detail of the houses is the difference between that and #1, which is why #1 looks better. Try some contrast tweaking on #2 and see what you get.
I really like the 1st one there mate, but as someone else has mentioned, I would have been tempted to darken that ballard so it wasn't quite so prominent ...........
