Some from last week - Cornwall

Just got back from a week in Cornwall where we stopped in St. Ives and managed to get about a bit with the camera in hand. We went to some simply stunning places, particularly Botallack which was just an incredibly photogenic place to be. We had amazing weather with not one spot of rain until we got in the car to come back earlier today.

St. Ives

The Lighthouse at the end of Smeatons Pier

Window

Botallack Mine House

More to come from here...........just incredible!!!

Waterfall

Red, Yellow, White

Tin Mine Shaft

As always, I have made each image a clickable link to the Flickr photo page where much larger sizes and .exif can be found.

Lots more images to come tomorrow (there are already more on my Flickr stream), and any comments welcome.

Brilliant pictures love Cornwall have had many happy holidays down there as a kid. I have fond memories of watching my dad at Botallack get closer to the edge just to get the best shot LOL!!!!!! much to my mum's despair LOL!!!! That first one is a beauty love St Ives so many photo opportunities there. Look forward to seeing some more.

Looking forward to more of the mine pictures. There's something about abandoned industrial installations that is really dramatic. B&W conversions awaited

Some lovely images there Steve. I am sure Melanie and I are going to go back to Devon and Cornwall this summer too. It's such a beautiful part of the country.

Re: Some from last week - Cornwall

I really like the red, yellow & white pic the best.

the sharpness of the picture does justice to the person who did such a neat job of painting, a photo opportunity that was well spotted
