Inspired by Tobers

After meeting with Tobers last weekend it gt me thinking. It's almost a year now since I actually started to take photo's rather than snapshots and one of the things tha kicked me off was The Gumball Rally. I was thinking that it must be leaving London sometime in April and that it's the sort of local to London Event that a few members might actually go to. If so, how about we meet up before and after? I can't find the date for it being in London this year so cannot even say if I will be there but just thought I'd throw it out to see what folk think

I don't know how reliable the info is (no reason to doubt it) but the departure is Sunday 29th April according to this gumball blog.....

Although I won't be able to make the event myself, the latest update is that it will leave central London on Sunday 29th April.

Blimey - that's the first time anyone has been inspired by me I'm sure.

Anyway, I'm up for this too. I have a major motorbike and am happy to take someone on the back if you want to do some "pap" style shots on the roads - should be a top laugh!

It's a bit packed and it's hard to get decent shots but if you try you can usually get a handfull. One of my favoutites I ever took was at last years (the VW campervan image). It should be a laugh. I'll monitor the situation and update here.

Hi,

I will deffinately be at the event this year, along with some friends so it would be really cool if some of you were there aswell. I can deffinately confirm that it departs London on the 29th April from Pall Mall. The cars will be on show from around 2PM and will be leaving at around 6PM.

Also they then arrive back in Lodon this year on the 5th May, again I will be at this event aswell, so if you can't make it on the 29th this could be an opportunity for you.

Tobers what you suggested sounds really good. I would deffinately be interested. PM me with what you had in mind.

A little update for anybody thinking of going to London for this event.

It is still on the 29th April, but the cars will now be on display from 13:00 and the cars will be departing from roughly 16:00.

Also I was thinking it would be a good idea if we all met up a bit before then went to the evnt, rather than trying to spot each other?
