One Stop Digital

Hi chaps

How many of you has used One Stop Digital ???

Did you get any problems of any kind?

Such as damage, Return issue's, Late or lost delivery.

I want to buy some lenses for my 400d and was thinking about the
Canon 50mm 1.8 and the Sigma 70-300APO everyone seems to be talking about as they are much cheaper there. Also where do i find info about Ian Kerso??? Again cheap so i've read.

If possible could you suggest a good walk around lens if the above are pants.

Many thanks

Re: One Stop Digital

I have heard nothing but good things from this board in regards to shipping and have also seen mentioned quite a few times that they do not get any customs charges when receiving their items.

After I finish paying CC and Loan off I will be order a few lenses from there myself.

Just a quick opinion but others will be able to give you personal ones.

Re: One Stop Digital

I got a Sigma 70-200 from OneStop Digital last year, fairly decent service but the shipping took a while. About 3 weeks iirc.

Hi,

I just made my 1st order from here. As i do NOT use credit or debit cards online i choose BT as the payment method and after depositing the cash I emailed OneStop with the info and waited.............Wee bit worried but after 2 days had word via email with a tracking number (That I have been checking and its good) and so far so good.

I asked the same question and after some answers from the good people on here I went for it.

I would recommend them ..........

Did you stung for VAT or import tax?

It just worries me a little ordering from abroad...But the pricing over here is sometimes robbery (Dick Turpin wore a mask!) but thats the way it is. Im going to the US in may and could maybe get them cheaper there but i wanted practice with the lenses before i went (Catch 22 eh)

Cheers for your reply anyhoo

I ordered the Nikon 50mm F1.8 lens, which was despatched on the 13th and I got it today morning...

The first impression has been very good...

Re: One Stop Digital

Chip - I have bought about ten times from Onestop - never taken longer than 5 days for a delivery - avoid using Bank Transfer (BT) as this slows everything down by about 3-5days - I have been charged Duty & Handling once in those ten buys & I sent Onestop the invoice & was reimbursed in full
Re Kerso who I have used slightly less - he is based in US and if you look at his Ebay shop [FLASH CAMERA] it says to email him & he will give you a price away from Ebay [so avoids Ebay & PayPal fees]
See who has the best price for what you want but I would not hestitate to use either or both again [hence my small bank balance ]

Re: One Stop Digital

I ordered my Tamron 17-50 2.8 a few weeks ago.

Ordered over the Chinese new year, so expected a bit of a delay, but to my surprise it arrived within a week! Brilliant service... no import surcharges either, but they do guarantee to pay that anyway.

Id definately use them again for lenses.

Re: One Stop Digital

Have ordered from both onestop and Kerso, both very reliable.

When i ordered from onestop, i notinced my order sat in there for about 2 days before it was marked as despatched but i was never worried about it.

One note if you order multiple items, they despatch them separately to avoid VAT, etc, so some bits take a bit longer. in my case i got my lense within a few days and my filters took nearly 2 weeks.

Looking back at my stuff from buying the lens the delay was because they were waiting for it to come back into stock, not due to the shipping. Didn't have to pay anything since it was marked as a repaired lens so it snuck through. Not terribly legal, but I'm not complaining.

Re: One Stop Digital

I've used them several times now. Service has been excellent.

They use HSBC for bank transfers so they are a lot quicker if you bank with them too. Otherwise you have to wait the usual 3 days to do it electronically
