Anyone have experience of Johnsons Photopia?

Just wondered if anyone has had to wait as long as I have for a repair to be done by Johnson's Photopia in Newcastle, Staffs. Towards the end of November I sent them my Minolta 7D SLR whose shutter was refusing to fire. Early January I received their written diagnosis and estimate for the job - it requires a new PCB at a cost of £175. I duly sent off a cheque and assumed I would have the camera within a couple of weeks. I am still waiting. Their estimate did state that repairs normally take 6-8 weeks but I assumed that included the time taken awaiting initial inspection. As it stands they have had the camera almost 13 weeks in their posession.
I phoned them on Wednesday of last week and the girl I spoke to said they'd been awaiting parts but that they had now arrived. She assured me that as they'd had the camera for so long she would instruct the engineers to carry out the work and have the camera despatched to me that day. Not so - or at least if it was then delivery is mighty slow as it hasn't arrived yet.

Never used them but i'd keep ringing to chase them up on it. Make a pain of yourself and you'll get the job done quicker

Look on the bright side, at least it's only Winter.
It could have busted during the summer when there's loads of photo opportunities.

Making a pain of myself is something I'm not too good at but I'm planning to call them tomorrow and do my best!

As for it being winter I was hoping to get some pics at a car rally last Saturday in Inverness as that was my target date when I sent the camera for repair!
