Hi ya
Had a go at some night shots tonight. First ones with the 400d. These are handheld. Did learn a couple off things tonight and will be giving it another go.
Another thing having trouble keeping to the 200kb size, had to reduce both these to below 800px. Did want to post one more by the time I got it down to 200kb looked awful. Am using IranVeiw, but have tried to do it in other programs with the same result, any ideas.
Cheers Holo

I know that Polish War "thingy" it is 10 - 15 min from me and normally quite dead about now
The Exif data is embedded and I have one or 2 plug in for firefox that instantly bring it up: It states focal length used but not the range on the lens you used ( The Exif info in Photoshop Elements does that as does DPP)
Are you using the Kit lens?

All the more impressive as the Kit lens is probably the minimum you can get in IQ !
Keep snapping
Regarding reducing file sizes
Have you tried THIS?

| I find linking to a file hosted off the Forum gives better results - I use Flickr which is FREE for the basic account & about a tenner for the Pro Account which gives you more flexibility & full size images etc

HTH - Paul | I really wish the file size limit was upped a bit.
While i can link to my smugmug galleries i have to either link to smaller images which then look softer or upload images just for this board.
All my images are 800px max but mostly around 300-500K as i use the lowest compression and sharpen on output. I have to go back and resize each time i want to post a shot here, unlike most other forums where you can just link to an existing, high quality shot
Sorry, I know this has been discussed before and is OT, just wanted to have another moan really.
please delete if you want to. |
