Flying to Florida next month. Bag ideas needed

Guys
Im off to Florida in Feb. im planing on taking my 30D, 24-105L, 50mm f/1.4, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and a 420Ex. Oh yes, and the family as well
While i may not use all the gear im concerned about flying with it. I was thinking of packing the lens's in the suitcase and maybe just taking the 30D+50mm on board. not to take shots, just to make sure if my case gets lost i still have a camera. plus i feel safer with it near me.
Im thinking about getting a Tamrac Velocity 9 to hold all the gear while im there but i think its too big to take on the plane so i may have to pack it away.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

I always take my Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 on the plane with me, fits in the overhead lockers OK. You'll easily get all of your kit in one of those.

Thanks for the reply.
I have just got a Tamrac Velocity 9 as a walkaround bag as i like to keep the hood on my 24-105L when im out and this fits well in the V9 with space for other lens's. I just hopeits small enough for the plane.

I use the Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic plenty of room for equipment and fits in overhead baggage easily.
