Help Needed With Cs2 And Raw

can anyone please help with this, i took some photos in raw yesterday my first ones, the problem is when i try to open them in photoshop CS2 v9 a box shows up saying "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" but what i thought is odd is that they do open up in photoshop elements 4, does anyone know why this is ? i am using the D50 so these are NEF format, thanks in advance.

Re: Help Needed With Cs2 And Raw

This might not help, but worth a try. When I first got CS2 I had to re-install the RAW plug-in (download from Adobe) even though the RAW plug-in was listed.

Re: Help Needed With Cs2 And Raw

Make sure you have the lastest Camera RAW update installed. The version of Camera RAW that ships with CS2 probably does not support the D50 as this is a new camera and CS2 is much older. Camera RAW 3.6 does support the D50 (I think it has supported it since 3.4 or 3.5).

You can download the latest version here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=3554

It is easier to use and has a simple workflow and excellent tutorials. Unlike the Adobe CS raw, it doesnt intergrate into CS .
It has since been bought by adobe for incorporation into "Adobes Lightroom" so it is no longer in production( march 2006)
If you do a search on "RAW", its use has been discussed in several threads recently
Apart from the most current one

A few others
