Puli | Thanks, it needs a bit more tweaking in Photoshop, It would have been better with a tripod and 100 ISO. Quote:

Great pics Jazz. Ive only been to Blackpool once but its very colourful at night as you have shown us.
I think this also shows to all thoses people who say IS is usless on moving objects that it can be useful. ok, some of the people are moving too fast to be sharp but you wouldnt have got some of thoses shots with the 24-70f/2.8 IMHO without a tripod and who wants to walk around with one of thoses all night when on holiday?

I did take my tripod and all the gear but we had a few kids with us and I couldn't be bothered to keep stopping.
They aren't the best pics I could have got, but they are better than the usual snaps and I couldn't have taken them without the IS on the 24-105.
Blackpool is about 20 mins away from me so I could go back and get some better shots but I haven't got the time.

I was looking foward to seeing them ....and Im not dissapointed
Another great set of niteshots
The handholding, high ISO and IS really work well even with an f4 lens!
:
Im not sure how much noiseware has helped but if I want to nitpick Id say maybe a tripod ( for those shots where it is usable) would have allowed you to use a lower ISO and not need noiseware. .
Did you use USM in PS after applying noiseware?
Very well done |
