Canon EOS Custom Function 4 & 13 - much better handling!

What a difference using C.Fn-4 and C.Fn-13 has made to my 30D handling!

For anyone who isn't familiar with them...

C.Fn-4 - has various options. Option 1 re-assigns the "*" button (AE lock) as the focus button.
So you can first focus, (then recompose if required) then press the shutter button half-way to set the exposure and then press fully to shoot.

C.Fn-13 also has various options. Option 1 lets you select the focus point using the joystick without having to first press the AF Point Selection button.

This is probably egg-sucking for the experienced members, but I'm so pleased to have found this out today I had to share it!!!

Give it a try if you haven't already - I don't think I'll look back after changing these settings. I think they are the same across the EOS nnnD range.

i use the control wheel to set the AF point. not sure which C.fn setting it is though.

Just done this with my 350D - nice work mate ! Never thought to actually customise the buttons before.
