New flashgun - Advice sought.

Just got a new Metz 44AF4 flashgun and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on Flash usage?

For Example, what ISO setting should I use? Should I leave WB/Colour temp on Auto, or create a custom WB for flash use?

Any other tips and advice greatly appreciated.
