rechargeable camera batteries- source

does anyone have a recommended source for a spare battery for my panasonic TZ1? - branded ones appear to be around £30 but it seems possible to buy an unbranded job off e bay for a tenner or so. Ok for a back up or a waste of money?? - any experiences?

I bought a battery for my JVC camcorder off ebay and it's absolutely fine.
