recommendations for motivation?

ive not really picked up any of my camera equipment for months, as ive been lacking in motivation to do so. ive not done any paid work for even longer, and its starting to depress me a little. the last time i took a camera out (a few weeks ago for about half an hour) i was horrified at the lack of inspiration that i had. ive been photograping for many years and ive been fairly good and not had this kinda mental idea drain before!

anyway, does anyone have any motivational tips for the times when you really lack the drive to get out there and take photos?

(i will be attempting the photo comp this month, but i need other ideas/projects to get me kick started!!)

thanks

Jamie

Try going somewhere interesting without it. Look around and think of the shots you could be taking and the composure of them. I always find that if I feel I *have* to do something it makes it worse, don't try and force the inspiration let it come to you. Try reviewing your old shots and think about what motivated you to take that shot etc.

It will come back to you bud, just let it happen over time

yeah im sure you're right. its just annoying me a little!!
ive been out plenty of times to situations when ive normally brought a camera, and kicked myself when something pretty descent has happened.

example being the other week when rob lowe was in cambridge filming with those nonces from the friday night project. im pretty sure not many people knew he was here - i dont really care much for the guy, or any celebrities really, but it would have been nice to ask for a shot given i was minutes away anyway. and i liked the outsiders. (edit: and waynes world)

ta for your help
