If you had taken a copy of this months Digital Photo magazine, their advert states they will price match against that site. It's a current magazine and therefore that should be a current offer.
Shame really that they couldn't do it for you.

They refused to price match a Canon S2 for me so I ordered it from Amazon @ £278,even Jessops online price is £429.99. I know that they have to cover the cost of running all of their retail outlets but this doesn't justify charging almost 55% more for this camera, I'm surprised they are still in business.

Same with this week's amateurphotographer if you want to spend less on a magazine I suspect that as ever many of their staff don't know one end of a camera from the other.

I have to stick up for the girl that demo'd the 350d to me. As I'm new to the whole DSLR thing (currently have a compact digicam) I had a few questions, to which she was able to answer.
Anyway, kinda works out in my favour, as can now get it cheaper further still from dixons online (and if they price match their website instore I can pick it up from them!)

thats the kind of attitude that would get you denied a price match mate, try being a bit more positive, it will yield better results

Same problem for me at Jessops last week on a Canon compact. Had a good demo on the Ixus 55 and 750, but got told they only matched 'physical' shops within a 10-mile radius of the store. I know that was not always the case, as I have price matched an internet price (for a camcorder) there before!!
Im the end, I got the 60 cheaper on-line than they were selling the 55 for.

Clearly Ush, you missed my thread praising Jessops service a couple of weeks ago. Sadly the exception in their case but without turning this thread into a Jessops moan, most of their stores do not live up to expectations.
