Thanks: Gave 1,143, Got 1,013 | February Photo Competition - Launch and Discussion
Congratulations to Mr THX on winning the January competition with the theme of Ice
Again this month there were many varied entries and my thanks go out to all those who take the time to enter and vote
Mr THX has won the print from fotoview.co.uk and has chosen the theme of Looking Up for the February competition.
The competition section is here and to enter just start a new thread with your entry within it. Please make sure you read and understand all of the rules before submitting an entry. The rules can be found HERE
Despite the fact that we had a 'cheat' entry this in January I don't see any need to change any of the rules regarding what information should be provided when the entry is submitted. Hopefully people will continue to treat the competition with a bit of respect rather than blatantly taking the
Last date for entries for the February Competition will be first thing on Saturday 25th February 2006 when the competition closes and voting begins.
Good luck all!

Think you guys are trying to get me arrested!
What's the national 'pervy' past-time of Japan? 'looking up' schoolies mini skirts especially with mobile phone cameras!! but not really funny !
Will have to go exploring to see what I can look up legally!!

Someone once said to me to always look up when you are out and about as thats where you see the real heritage in places, especially town centres.
If you look at the plush new frontages and then have a look up, you almost always see an old building above the plush lower levels
I have a few idea's for this one, doubt they will be much good though

I was thinking of something like this. The Earth viewed looking up from the moon. Unfortunately, I went to the moon in December, so it's not eligible.

are there any guidelines as to changing your mind, updating your shot with a better one, or even completely changing it?

Hi Richard, Here's the rules, and it's rule 14 that seems applicable. Basically, you can change it as many times as you wish up to the competition deadline
Cheers

Thanks: Gave 8, Got 12 | Non-eligible photo
Technically it's not up to much (I was rushed) and I took it a few weeks ago so it's not eligible for the Looking Up competition, but I thought I'd post it purely because it struck me as a touch unusual. Giant bird terrorises Kent village

Some really excellent shots this month with quite a few interesting interpretations of the theme. I have a feeling that it's going to be quite a close contest this time between a number of entries. Looking forward to seeing all the pictures in Zone's gallery.
