Yes, they do let you into the colloseum.
Rome is a photographers dream. There are so many stunning things to see - the Sistine chapel has to be on top of anybody's list of things to see before they die IMO (they won't allow you to take any pics in the chapel though ).
I'll try and post a couple more later but here's one of the inside of the Colloseum....

Although you can't take any photo's in the Sistine chapel, you are allowed to take them in the corridors that lead to it. Here are some I took and, although the quality isn't brilliant due to the fact I was using a handheld compact, I'm pretty sure that you will all agree that the artwork is simply stunning....
