Gothic?

Took this today in a churchyard in some little village in between Lichfield and Cannock. The photo itself is a little boring I suppose, so I was trying to make it look more 'gothic' by adjusting the colours in photoshop.

I'll post both up and you can tell me if I have managed it

Original

and the processed one

I'd say you are getting there. Scene still looks too well lit though. Your changes have moved things more towards a night scene without it being dark.

So the greens should be reduced a bit then? I messed with the colours for a while and I think I got the 'purple' effect reasonably well, I quite liked the slightly highlighted green, i'll have another play.

I'm a bit annoyed about the tree in the foreground now too

cant get the top to darken as i want, dont want to 'lomo' it as thats done to death now,

made a layer, added a layer mask, then darkened the original layer by knocking back the brightness and added a slight blue tinge to give a nighttime effect, used the layer mask to lighten the bench up slightly to give that slightly lighter middle of the dark foreboding graveyard type thing?
