Not much up your way, but Manchester Airport supposed to be Photog Friendly.

Nearest little place that I know of is Breighton near Selby.
I want to get up there sometime, as it looks very much like Shuttleworth/Old Warden down here.

Think the lens is a 500mm prime??

During practice on Friday, the Typhoon (Eurofighter) nearly lost it during a loop.

I've read several accounts from people who were there, and they suggest it came out of the loop low, and nearly pancaked onto the runway...

By all accounts, he was just SIXTEEN feet from smashing it, and several people were turning to run while others froze and s*** themselves.

Many thought he would eject, but it may well have been very nasty indeed if he did.

Not my pic, but taken just after he recoverd., aparrently the grass is rather scorched. Looking forward to seeing video of that one....
