D70 for less?

I've just taken delivery of a D70 with 18-70 from InternetCamerasDirect (link on Nikon UK site) and after cashback, it appears to be costing me £530. My decision to wait till just before the deadline has paid off!

Having registered it at Nikon, the cashback deadline for buying appears to be extended yet again to 16 June.

Now I'll just have to weep over the price my D1 will fetch on ebay!

Interestingly, Nikon UK thinks I bought that serial number from Jessops. Either a glitch, or Jessops is short of cash and churning kit to pay the wages. Sell your shares.

additional info:
Ordered online Sunday, delivered Tuesday, definitely UK stock (UK quickstart guide and serial no accepted online)

Update.

Since Monday, Nikon UK have pulled the InternetCamerasDirect listing from their web site. The other resellers are clearly unhappy! It seems to be Jessop's that's been "naughty" transferring stock below normal reseller cost, but with 300 shops and no doubt a large credit line fully extended, they're still on the web site.

I'm pretty sure Nikon will continue to honour the cashback; it's UK stock, bought before the deadline. We'll see. Make sure InternetCamerasDirect haven't been persuaded to cut the corners off the UK quickstart guides!

Oh, if you're thinking of going for it, under UK distance selling regs, I believe you have 7 days to return the item for a full refund. You could do that if online registration rejects you, or the corner's missing from the booklet.

Yes, the cash-back cheque has arrived (3 weeks). D70 with 18-70 for just £530 after rebate. But they're out of stock now, and they've put the price up, and there's no cashback after the 19th June.

My D1 (bought for £1750 on ebay) went for £460 on eBay. So will I be selling the D70 for £140 in a couple of years time? I hope not!
