Digital Frame

Um... Not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but anyway...

I'm thinking to buy a digital frame, but having a still image in it doesn't sound anything special to me.

Is there any way to edit an image of a person for example, and change the background to a moving flash clip? I mean, let's say I'm standing in a forest, and all around me, trees, water, etc... are moving except me. Like a screensaver or something.

Is that possible?

Hm... Must I modify them? There aren't digital frames that have the capability to play gif?

not that i know of, kinda silly really if they dont make them.

i have however seen a TV/photo frame combo that looks just like any photoframe but somehow fits a tv tuner in it.

im sure you could do something with that.

I believe part of the problem is that .gif format has a number of legal hurdles about supporting it; Unisys have a patent on the compression format used.

I found that some of them can play MPEG, AVI, and some other video formats... So, what if I find a digital frame with a good "repeat mode", and instead of a gif, use a video background? I could mix an image on a video .
