Re: Manfrotto is giving away £800 + worth of photo equipment

I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say in relation to answers of competitions, so I'll tread very carefully.......

You have to choose 1 out of three answers, and the sponsor provides a link to the product page on their website for you to get a hint. Thing is, even though Manfrotto only refer to it with one term, the sponsor actually uses two different terms to refer to it in their web page, both of which are given as possible answers.

I went with the Manfrotto one, but would hate to think I got it wrong. It does seem rather confusing to me.

Yeah I was suprised how tricky it was too, I mean they almost all mean the same sort of thing!

"This competition is open to residents of the UK and Ireland only"

There is really no good reason for this. Why can't i play? From Croatia

Actually, the reason is pretty sound - lots of countries have all sorts of disparate laws covering competitons (particularly online); there's no standardised global legislation. As a result competitions are usually restricted to certain areas. Some countries are not included simply because the company running teh competition can't justify the costs of clarifying the legal situation for every separate nation.

Yeah, but that's no good. This should be regulated so that it's common knowledge that you can enter a competition anywhere you want, and get the prize. When you are from a small country like Croatia, there's not much competitions to enter Manfrotto sort it out

I was keeping quiet about this compo' I spotted it at the top of the home page and was hoping not many of the photography posters would see it.
