Nikon D1H question

I have a Nikon D1H that I bought awhile back to use as a backup to my D300. While its an old camera it did take some nice pics but after I was involved in a car crash a few weeks back it seems to have gone on the blink. It will not switch off all the time via the on\off button and this means the only way to get the camera turned off is to pull the battery. It also seems to be backfocusing a lot in low light conditions. I had a friend look at the D1H when I bought it because it did seem to backfocus a little then and he did a good job on getting it back into focus. Now my friend has moved abroad the only option is to try and claim on my insurance and see if the camera is repairable or its a write off ? My question is if the camera can not be fixed what model should I be looking for to replace it because I very much doubt there are any D1H's left to replace my body.
