Photography Workflow with 2 machines
Hi,
I already own an iMac and have just purchased a Macbook Pro (13") I've been going over in my head how best to incorporate the new system into my photography workflow.
Today (with only the iMac)
- import using Aperture
- Edit using Aperture and Photoshop Elements
- Export to iPhoto for sharing with Apple TV and iPhone
With both Aperture and Elements I can install on the Macbook at no extra cost and wanted to use the Macbook as a device for editing on the road.
The best case scenario would be to have a library which is replicated on both machines, but I'm not sure how possible this will be. I want to make sure my iMac remains as the core Aperture library. I reckon I would use the Macbook when shooting on the road, do all my editing, then export the projects into the iMac library ...
I'd probably do the same with the iPhoto library ..
Anyone else using more than one machine (Mac) in their digital workflow and care to share tips or experience?
cheers,
Nige
