Flash v rear flash?

Am taking some (very amateur!!) photos at my dad's wedding this sunday

, so don't want to screw it up!!! My question is what particular flash would I use indoors??? I know to use normal flash for shadows outdoors, but what's the real difference pls?!? Should I bother with 'slow flash'??

Yeah, it only makes a difference in long exposure shots of movement. Normal portraiture should be unaffected. I wouldn't get caught up worrying about it unless you're planning on some arty stuff during the dancing.

Having said that it may be worth setting your camera to default to rear curtain flash anyway just in case you use long exposure flash in the future.

EDIT: Also, I can recommend watching a couple of these videos and building yourself a bounce card
