Nikon SB-900 questions...

Hi guys

Got a couple of questions for ya.....

I used the SB-900 for the first time the other day, and after a while, it overheated and obviously i had to stop using it for a while......any ideas what could have caused this? Could it have been an incorrect setting on the camera? It was fine after about 5 minutes once it had cooled down again....

Also, it seemed to chew through batteries like anything! What sort of batteries does everyone use?
Are rechargeables any good?

Re: Nikon SB-900 questions...

It has a built in thermal cut off that is there to stop the flash lunching itself. You can turn it off in the menu.

Always use rechargables. Standard batteries don't deplete in a linear way so will appear fine and then off very fast. Use 2000's or better.
