Smile Red Bull Air Race 2008

Went today with my (now retired) Dad.

Had a great time (but got quite wet a few times), still finding my way around my Canon 450D.

Had some trouble with focusing - everything going so fast, and I do not have a long stabilised lens.

Looks like a fab event. I watch it on the TV and it is amazing - I can imagine it is even better live. Thanks for showing.

I was watching it this afternoon. The speed they go, kudos for even getting them in frame.
You know it's hardcore by the way they're breathing after completing the course.

I have to say I was impressed as to the "slickness" of the whole event. The displays before the racing started were also very impressive; various helicopters flying loops and roles etc. I have seen radio control helicopters do that kind of stuff - but never full size jobs.

If I get the opportunity I will try and go again next year, I would definately recommend it
