Recommend A Digital Camera For Approx £100

Hi,

I was hoping anyone could recommend decent performing but relatively inexpensive and easy to use Digital Camera.

The camera will on almost all occasions be used indoors and for family shots, which would likely be people motionless. But however on occasions it may be used outdoors for the same type of shots as indoors.

It would not need any extra's like a vide recording or anything but would need to be fairly easy to use and easily connectible to Windows XP and easy to print out the photo's using a standard printer.

My relative, who wants the camera, went out and bought a "Vivitar Vivicam 5199" on sale at our local asda for £45.

Needless to say the thing is terrible, the images are almost incomprehensible, and the indoor flash leaves the entire photographed image in a complete white bright light looking like its actually a negative of the old type of camera where you take the film to be developed.

The max price range would hopefully be around the £100 mark. Probably slightly more at a push i.e ~£120 if it were for something very good. But something in the 60-£70 ish mark would be even better.

As you can probably see I know nothing about digital camera's, but its been expected as I am the only one who uses the internet regularly I can somehow magic up a perfect one and for little price.

So I figured it would be best to start here.

Thanks for any suggestions

Re: Recommend Digital Camera Approx £100

The Nikon S210 is £99 at the mo in Currys, but you can also get a Fujifilm F50fd for the same cash instore at larger Boots stores (if not the Fujifilm F47fd is around £90 if you look around online - ebuyer?).

Avoid the no name brands and stick to mainline camera manufacturers (Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm and the exception Panasonic) and you'll be fine
