Talking Anyone Work For DWP? Saw this today on our Intranet....

Headline News
Photo competition - summer snaps
Crowds at Glastonbury, strawberries and cream at Wimbledon, and two months of rain in a single day – it can only be the Great British summertime!

While we’re waiting for the sunshine to arrive, Headline News is launching a photo competition to find the best staff snaps.

The rules are simple:

all entries must be your own work
the theme is “Summer in Britain” – no exotic holiday snaps thanks!
send entries to ************ with the title “Photo competition”.
The closing date is 5 August and we’ll feature a selection of the best photos on Headline News.

Happy snapping!

Summertime clues
Need inspiring? Here are some ideas to get you started:

Natural wonders
Britain is home to beautiful landscapes – the rugged moors of Yorkshire, the granite of Aberdeen and the White Cliffs of Dover. Why not take the camera along the next time you’re going for a country walk or a visit to the seaside?

Faces and places
Whether they’re loved ones or strangers, we love looking at other people’s photos. Why not take a snap of a child eating their first ice cream or a couple walking on the beach?

Capturing the moment
When it comes to iconic events, Britain does it best! Show off your photos from key summer events such as the Last Night of the Proms, the British Grand Prix or the Edinburgh Festival.
