Try picstop, they are very cheap and sell genuine Sandisk cards.

much the same, the play.com ones are just toshiba ones rebranded
no moving parts in them, just plastic and solid state. only differences are the speeds, class 2,4,6 (6 being the fastest)

Re: cheapest place for 8gb or 16gb sdhc class 6
I think I'm going to buy the Pannasonic TZ5 from 7dayshop. I will need memory and can you help on what I will need with exact types that I can find at 7dayshop.
I will of course take photo's and as I transfer these to PC and then disk masses of memory is not req'd for photo's.
As for the video I wll want to do this in HD as I have the TV, but with no means to transfer it like I can for SD it I assume it will have to stay on the memory card?
Does the camera come with the cable that allows you to play it back through your TV HDMI lead. Mine has a spare one on the front is the video on the canera 780 or 1080P?

I have the 8 gig one from Play which cost me £15.
Works fine in my Pentax K10D.

Re: cheapest place for 8gb or 16gb sdhc class 6
Just read the spec on the Panasonic site and the cable for HD playback is optional and around £45 (search on Yahoo and not available anywhere). I think I only have one component input and my X Box 360 is there and I do not want to keep having to take it out. I wanted an HDMI socket cable as I have the one at the front of the tele.
Are there any similar cameras that have a HDMI lead for HD playback?

Any verdict on play's branded cards vs Sandisk etc
They also have PNY SDHC cards available pre-order that look a good price

Re: cheapest place for 8gb or 16gb sdhc class 6
I got a Kingston 8mb class 2 from 7Dayshop.com a few weeks ago. It wasn't in stock and took about 8 days to arrive but they emailed me straight away to give me the choice of cancelling or waiting.
The Kingston card is fine as well, uploads very quickly.
