managed to get dixons to do a pricematch for £190 with egears.co.uk for the panasonic tz5.

I tried this today but they said no. So i guess it depends on who you get on the phone. They said since the company will supply from their USA warehouse if the UK is not in stock they are unwilling to pricematch, even though when i spoke to them they said it was in stock (hence in stock in their UK warehouse)

I dont get it, but its ok im sure it will come down in price again before i have to buy before my holiday mid june.

egears is a us firm but with .co.uk at the end

Just ordered a TZ5 from 7dayshop for ony a couple of quid more (£194); this allowed me to add some other items to the order without being fleeced on postage (batteries, SD cards, spare TZ5 battery etc.). I'd been waiting a month or so to put together an order for bits from them anyway.

Yea!!! tried this again today and they price matched it, i must of got abit of a tight sales guys when i called last time. So £190 and its on its way to me. Look forward to using it while on my hols.

Mine was!!

Just ordered this morning quoting egears.
The price of the camera was £184.99 plus delivery on their webiste (egears) but the girl at Dixons couldn't find the delivery charges on the website so agreed to do it for £190.00 delivered
