A200 - where can i get the best...
Hi all,
Being an amateur in DSLR, i decided recently to get my first DSLR and after reading many reviews, i opted for a beginner DSLR and hence Sony A200.
Been looking at the various deals on the market - wondering if anyone has a great deal to share with me? i don't want to spend big money as it will be my first DSLR..
thanks in advance!

Hi there - using www.camerapricebuster.co.uk I've found the following deal:
Sony Alpha 200 and 18-70 Lens for £299.99
Hope this helps
EDIT: Just noticed this price is a weekend special, ending Monday 19th May 2008, so you'll have to be quick to get this one.

Sure do: Sony Alpha 200 Double Lense Kit
Looking at the increase in price, I know which route I would be taking.....get the £299 camera with kit lens, and spend the difference on things like UV filter for your lens (for protection purposes), tripod, memory card, camera bag.....all these other things that soon add up.

Re: A200 - where can i get the best...
yeah..definitely...not for that money....presumably i can get a 2nd hand lense for cheaper!
this £299.99 is really tempting...also thinking if i should buy one from the far east...

Re: A200 - where can i get the best...
At £300 for the A200, i'd almost consider it myself! But that means selling my 100 and for all how small a step up it is, it's not worth my hassle.
I'd think twice about buying from the Far East, especially as it's so cheap here. You may get hit by up to 30% of the cost, in tax and duties...

You can get a few 2nd hand lenses for the difference there !!
Over the last 3-4 weeks I have bought a Sigma 70-300 APO, A Minolta 50mm f1.7 & a Minolta 70-210 f4 all for £156.00 from Ebay.
