Burnham on sea

Hello there

Not been about a lot this week, works been murder and have put some hours in. Also PC has really been playing up. I won't bore you with that, but its still not 100 %. So having to do this on the work lap top which hasn't got the best off screens.

Anyway this one was taken at Burnham on sea, was on my way back from visiting a job in Taunton, and decided to take a detour. Never been here before and didn't have a clue what I was going to find.

You can blame Tobers for the square crop on this on, as I am a bit off a fan off his collection of this type of picture.

3 exposures HDR, then decided to give it a sepia look in duotone.

Re: Burnham on sea

I like the toning you have done on this Frank, makes a nice subtle image and the point of interest stands out well. I would have probably composed this with the main focus more on the thirds though as having the white building (boat?) in the distance on the same level as the stump doesn't do you any favours compositionally. If you could have moved around a bit you could have had the stump on the lower left third and the white thing in the background on the top right third........this would have worked better in my opinion.

Re: Burnham on sea

A nice effect, but my eye is drawn to that bright white rectangle just to the right of the middle of the horizon. I think the overall picture would be better if you lost that.
