Last Night's Full Moon

This is a composite of two photos that I took last night with the Pentax K10D & 50-200mm lens. That's me fully zoomed in on the moon at 200mm.
I used a layer mask in photoshop to blend the two images into one. The image has also been cropped.

Re: Last Night's Full Moon

It looks pretty well exposed if a tad small. 200mm can be a bit limiting for subjects like the moon
In making the composite did you expose differently for the moon and then the background?

Also what are your ISO, Shutter and aperture settings?
Good effort

Re: Last Night's Full Moon

Thanks Senu. Although it fails majestically in comparison to the other shots of the moon posted on this forum.

Moon - ISO 400, Shutter Speed 1/80 sec, Aperture f/5.6, Flash Fired.
The foreground is a three second exposure.

Re: Last Night's Full Moon

Hope nobody minds me adding to this thread, I had my first attempt at the moon on Saturday. I took the picture below at 300mm (wished I'd had a longer lens) F5.6 at 1/100 second. I've altered the levels to brighten it up a bit as I took it at ISO 100 (since discovered "ISO Auto" mode on my camera) :
