Re: Did anyone get any kit for Christmas?

Well i got my EX 580II flash a couple of weeks ago that was supposed to be my pressie but good old wifey said today I could order a Canon 70-200 F4 L IS tomorrow so I can still get the rebate on it. :D

Am I right in thinking as long as my invoice is date before the 31st of this month I can still claim the rebate ?

Re: Did anyone get any kit for Christmas?

I must've been good all year, coz Santa left one of these for me

R1C1 macro flash kit, in a HUUUGE carry case. The manual is pretty intimidating though - it'll take me weeks to get to grips with this properly!

I was also lucky this year - FC left me a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet and a little spirit level that plugs into the hotshoe of my 350D.

Re: Did anyone get any kit for Christmas?

I got a Manfrotto 055MF3 and 804RC2 head. Now I shoot be able to shoot in gale force winds!!

(Although at first glance it doesn't seem as sturdy as expected so expect a thread on this!!)

Also got as a suprise a very nice looking book called "Landscape Travel Photography" by Peter Eastway.

And best of all it looks like we could be in for a spell of reasonable weather tomorrow morning!!

Re: Did anyone get any kit for Christmas?

I wrapped up my Canon 1Dmk3 and 24-105 F4L and gave it to my wife to give me for Christmas. She seemed quite happy . Oh - also got the Magnum Magnum book which is quite awesome...perhaps I should have got a Leica M7 instead of the 1D
