Gailey Lock House
Mine for today
One RAW file made into two separate exposures, one for sky the other for the land, merged in Photoshop, resized and sharpened.

Re: Gailey Lock House
I like the composition Steve but I am constantly drawn to that sky above the tower. Was that intentional? Lovely and sharp.
What lens was that. Sigma 10-20?

Re: Gailey Lock House
nice photo... agree with Gordon...the sky is a little distracting.
Still like your Bus Blur shot best

Re: Gailey Lock House
Might have been nicer to pop back when the light was right, I would also have removed the vignetting in the top corners.

True enough h4rri, I might have another go one day. I actually quite liked the vignetting, usually I crop it out but left it on this shot

Re: Gailey Lock House
Nice shot steve - i'll echo the other comments about the light.
However, the first thing that popped into my head when I looked at this was how nice it would have been to have somebody walking towards you down the path, perhaps shot with a slow enough shutter to introuce some motion blur.

Re: Gailey Lock House
Cheers for the comments.
This is the other one I took there. The light is much better on this one
