Transfering from old to new PC

What is the best way of doing this with minimal effort and time.

Have seen some software called "Transfer my PC" which is on Ebay, not sure if this is what i need. Any advice?

I would like to make sure i get all my files including emails from outlook across, documents and ideally programs so that i do not need to re-install from scratch.

Transfer My Pc - new sealed on eBay, also, System Maintenance, Software, Computing (end time 10-Jan-09 13:32:56 GMT)

Can you not create a home network with your router? Then you can transfer files from one PC to the other. I have my laptop and main PC connected this way and it works great. Try Google on how to do this.
