Looking to buy a new desktop, don't mind building it although no experience of this apart from stripping parts of an old one once. Computer would sit in the upstairs office for one user but also directly below in a media cupboard(3m cable runs) I have room for an additional monitor/keyboard/mouse for use downstairs. Hopefully this is possible.
It will be used for Word documents, Internet, emails, YouTube possibly the odd game, I have a synology ds 212j with a 1tb drive so maybe half this for pc. Ip cctv cameras would also be added in future, Quiet running would good. Will probably get windows 8 when out
Budget around £500ish for pc ,monitor I can get later.

Just need to get a list together as last pc was 10 years old
I'm thinking an i3 processer might be sufficient from what I've read, any specs welcome for the rest.
