denon avr887 zone 2 volume control

Hello,

I have a denon avr-887 driving 2 outdoor speakers using the zone 2 functionality. What I normally do is hook my computer (iTunes) up to the front V-Aux inputs and listen outside.

My issue is that I cannot control the volume using the receiver volume control, the only thing that affects the volume is the volume control on the computer.

If I play my computer (iTunes) on the main speakers the receiver will control the volume just fine.

I do have the surround back amp set to drive zone 2 so I am not sure what is happening.

Pleas help

Thanks in advnce

Re: denon avr887 zone 2 volume control

Do you select Zone 2 on your handset remote before tryingto adjust the volume?

Is there a setting in the Zone 2 set up which fixes the volume at a set amount? You may need to set this to variable and then try again.

Not familiar with your model, but that's what I'd be checking on mine!
