Denon AVR-4308A for FLAC playback?

Is anyone using the Denon AVR-4308A for FLAC playback?

I'm looking at new toys and wondered how it compares to something like a Logitech Transporter or similar high-end device...

Seriously, is no one using the streaming features of this Amp

Works fine for me, when I can keep the UPNP server running on my NAS. The 4308 also happens to play OGG files, which are not mentioned in the specs.

Are you saying that the NAS needs to have software running in order for the amp to see it? I was hoping that I would simply map a share in my unraid server

It requires UPNP / DNLA software. WMP on Vista (not XP) supports this, and there are free and pay-for packages. Some/many NAS servers support it too. My Netgear/Infrant ReadyNAS NV+ supports a bundled "fuppes" server with Twonky as an option ($20 or so). Some NAS units ship with Twonky built in.
