Pure Move = Grundig GUDAB6000

I bought the Grundig on offer in Tesco for 35 quid.
It was a great radio, but I just couldn't get it quiet enough for use for bedside / nightime. (doh)

I took it back, then saw the Pure Move, which seems to have a remarkably similar key/dials layout.

I wonder if they are a similar platform?

The Pure Move is just too expensive at 80 quid.

Re: Pure Move = Grundig GUDAB6000

I just bought the Move today, very happy with it! will come in very handy when camping! The partner and I will be able to either listen to the radio or plug our Zune's into it! No idea how much that will affect the battery life.

As for the Grundig, I do not think it has a aux input.

The Move is £64 on ebay but I paid £90 in HMV...just for warranty!

Imagination Technologies are the parent company to Pure and they supply the chips to a lot of other brands.

While looking for a photo of the Grundig, I came across this review whch must have the most spelling mistakes I have ever read in my life! http://www.ciao.co.uk/Grundig_M100_R__Review_17409

Hi,Grundig is owned by Dixon,Curries group(checked a lot of info out a few years back thou) & a lot is just rebadged stuff.Think Grundig do still make the odd thing themself, they did a few years back.

Re: Pure Move = Grundig GUDAB6000

That Grundig 6000 looks similar to the Move, but I think it bears closer resemblance to the portable GRD300 than the PURE radio. All a bit confusing as the PURE 1000, 1500, and Move all look similar but the new 1500 and Move have rechargeable battery packs vs AA, and much longer run times.
