| FM & DAB Ariel Question - Combining the signal
Hi,
I've brought an Arcam Movie Solo, and as far as I can tell it has both an FM Radio and a DAB Radio. I have an external FM Ariel on the same pole as the TV Ariel, and they both feed 2 rooms. Each room is fed by a single cable, and there is a powered box on the masthead, which I assume takes care of amplification and anything else required.
Currently the Solo is fed by a lead plugged in to the FM socket on the wall, with a screw type adaptor plugged on to the end of the co-ax. I can receive most ( maybe all ) of the DAB stations that I am supposed to be guaranteed, but none of the "maybe" DAB stations. I am presuming that a DAB Ariel would help, but I'm a little unsure how to go about it. I only need a DAB signal in one room, and I want to keep both the TV and the FM signal in both rooms.
I'm assuming I could install a DAB Ariel and run a separate Coax to the room in question, and then combine two signals at ground level. However, the TV and FM are currently combined on a single cable, so I'm not sure what this would do to the TV signal.
I'm a bit stuck here, can anyone offer any suggestions.
Thanks
RG
