I was just looking at the list of national (non-BBC) stations on DAB at good old Wiki

and it struck me just how many there were NOT in Northern Ireland. We only get Classic and Talksport - no theJazz or Core etc.

Does anyone know why this would be the case ? Is there a technical reason (bandwidth ?) why we get such a raw deal when it comes to the number of stations ?

Also I see that RTE's DAB channels are broadcast from Dublin only, which explains why I can't tune into them
