Pure DAB1500 bargain

I was in Woolworths (Exeter) today and they had the Pure DAB 1500 (the personal one) for £40; the cheapest I've seen it anywhere else is around £70, so this is a bit of a bargain.

Don't know whether they have these nationwide or just in Exeter. I was quite tempted to buy the whole lot and put them on Ebay but to be honest I can't be bothered...

Anyway, if anyone is on the lookout for a personal DAB, this could be the moment! I already have one and it is excellent (provided you have a reasonable signal of course).

There were about 5 on the shelf by the way.

Just got some junk mail through the post from leeds United this morning, but also a little voucher for a tenner off at this place.The voucher says:

Visit www.buydigitalradio.com and enter the code LEEDS (all upper case) to receive £10 off the Pure Pocket DAB1500 digital radio.

Don't know if it's a good digital radio or not but there's a discount code nonetheless.

Has the battery life on these things improved much? I bought a DAB walkman a couple of years ago which only went for about 8 hours before it needed recharging. I took it back out of frustration.

Bit of a shame really because it would be good to hear 6Music & XFM on the move.

The PocketDAB 1500's ChargePAK lasts for 24 hours, if I'm not mistaken.

As for buydigitalradio.com - very uncompetitive web prices - not sure if the £10 discount code will make it the cheapest for most of the radios they sell.

Go here for decent pricing updates (the Woolworth's deal is listed, for example)

If anyone finds any they dont want, please let me know!!! Woolys can then order it accross. None left E Mids area!!!
