DAB radio alarm clock recommendations

Actually I need it for more than just a radio alarm clock

Looking for a DAB radio to use as radio alarm clock but also portable for use in bathroom with batteries (rechargeable preferably as DABs tend to eat batteries!). Or at least long play time via normal batteries...

Doesnt need pause live radio or anything clever like that.

The Pure Elan DX40 seems pretty good but it says you can use the optional chargepak in it which will recharge etc using mains adaptor... but the chargepak is £30!!!

Can I use any old rechargeable C cell batteries in it and use the charging circuit that presumably is built in?

Or are there any other options/radios that'll fit my needs better?.. I really like the look of the Pure Move radio but it doesnt have an alarm function.
