Can you get one of these with DAB?

I like the look of this system, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KBSound-Kitche...QQcmdZViewItem
i do like listening to DAB radio in the rest of the house,so it would be a shame not to have it in the bathroom.

Is it possible to get one with DAB built in, or does anybody know of a similar product that is hidden away like this?

Re: Can you get one of these with DAB?

Hi, thanks for the interest in the KBSound Radio.

I've asked this very question to the UK/ Ireland importer a few times, and unfortunately there's not one due out any time soon. We tend to forget that the UK is one of the more advanced European countries and it can take a while for manufacturers from outside the UK to keep up with our technology demands.

Personally I have a DAB radio, but still prefer to listen to the regular FM broadcasting stations, Radio 1, 2 etc. If your music taste is out of the mainstream then it's worth noting that the KB Sound radio can be used in conjunction with any MP3 player by using a FM transmitter such as an iTrip. This really adds to the functionality of the KBSound as it suddenly becomes a wireless jukebox able to play any of the songs in your music library. There's no wires to attach, and you can even change the track, album, volume etc from your iPod or other MP3 player.

The KBSound is ideal for the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom etc, that's what it has been designed for, really anywhere you want a discreet radio and speakers that don't take up any space. I've had some great feedback from customers as it really has exceeded their expectations.

I hope this has helped,

Chris

Why not get an amp with two sets of outputs stick it in a bedroom and run speaker cabling to a bathroom speaker via the loft? Plug a DAB tuner into the amp.

I tried that as an experment with an old stereo of mine. the thing is, i am not very techie, so i could not get a switch/rheostat? for the bathroom so i could switch on and adjust the volume there. (perhaps someone could advise?)

The main reason is my wife, i work nights and she likes to listen to the DAB in the morning while i am asleep, and you know what women are like, if i told her she had to do through a routine of powering up av stuff in different rooms, she wouldn't do it.

I did go to Maplins at the time and ask what type of switch would be suitable for this, but they were no help.

We would like to refit the bathroom in the future, and as we would like a minimalist design, an inbuilt audio setup would look better, there must be an alternative.

I must be totally honest, we do have a Sky gnome, but this looks unsightly and i can't get to to change channel anyway, so i am looking for a nice inbuilt system.

Problem is it would need to be low voltage kit in the bathroom. In bathrooms you have pull switches to operate lights and the razor socket has a double wound transformer centre tapped to Earth. I'm not sure what would be safe. Controls would be okay on the landing outside though.
