I have a Pure One DAB which I use at work and the power lead got damaged so bought a replacement one from eBay which had a funny adapter to convert it to the same size as the Pure One, looked on eBay to get a replacement adapter again. Saw someone selling a Pure One radio as faulty, so I bid on it and won it cheaper than a new a genuine power lead was.

My question is that this radio i have bought off eBay powers up, the display lights up but no writing comes up on it so cant tune it in or as i thought i might try and do an update via usb lead but cant do it because you need the display.

Has anyone else had this issue with theres if so how was it resolved or would it be worth trying to get it repaired somewhere?

I did think about using my original receipt to try and get it repaired under warranty but when i found receipt it was out of its 2 year warranty.
